Our Classes

Classes at The Stables School

We are very lucky to have lovely learning spaces in our school.

There are four main classrooms:

  • Badgers (situated in one of the log cabins)
  • Hedgehogs (situated in one of the log cabins)
  • Otters (situated in one of the log cabins)
  • Foxes (situated in the main school building)

There are times when pupils need a more bespoke or 1-1 approach to their learning. To facilitate this, we also have two 1-1 classrooms with their own calm rooms. These are:

  • Kingfishers (situated at the end of the Badgers class building)
  • Dragonflies (housed in a self contained unit adjacent to the main school building)

Hedgehogs, Otters and Badgers classes all have their own dedicated calm space/den, used for small group learning or when pupils need some time out of the main classroom environment. These classes also have their own toilet facilities.

Foxes class has a calm room in the main school building. They also have the larger toilet facilities.

Foxes also have direct access to outside space whenever required as an alternative calming option.

The main school building also houses a kitchen, where staff can meet and prepare food and drinks.

Housed in one of our out-buildings is the Woodpeckers classroom. This is set up and resourced for teaching and learning in Woodwork and other Design Technology activities.
